Deepbridge Sponsors Snooker Player Louise Burton

Deepbridge are pleased to announce that we have sponsored Louise Burton, a snooker player who is currently ranked 39th in the world by World Women's Snooker and also Administration Executive at Deepbridge.

Louise Burton has competed on the World Women’s Snooker Tour since 2018, most notably reaching the last 16 of her debut event at the Eden Masters.

Louise Burton, commented:

"A reflection on the latest snooker season, currently ranked at number 37 in the world I am pleased with my progress on the Women’s Tour. A difficult start to the season due to lack of practice however upon joining a local league as well as spending lots more time on the baize I have consistently made it through to the last 32 and continue to improve my finishing position.

I competed in my first World Championships in February, after a great start to the competition with a 3-0 win, in the next match I was edged out and unfortunately meant I had to beat the World number 2 to get through to the next round. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn from the best in the World and I will continue to strive hard to improve.

With my new sponsors, Deepbridge Capital, I am able to compete more and travel further to competitions. This is a fantastic boost to prepare for the new season and to reach new heights. A little added pressure doesn’t hurt either, can’t wait to demonstrate what I am capable of in the future."

Louise qualified from her group with victory against Germany’s Tanja Ender, before losing out to eventual champion Reanne Evans in the knockout rounds. She has subsequently appeared in several further tournaments, notably reaching the last 32 of the 10-Red World Championship in 2019 with victory against Jane O’Neill, before falling to Reanne Evans once again in the following round.
