New faces at Deepbridge

 

We are pleased to announce the appointment of six new members to the team; George Siddorn, Joy Evans, Heather Hughes, Natalia Grandini, Jim Thurlow and Peter Felix.

George joins Deepbridge as an Investment Analyst within our Technology investment team. He will be working with existing and prospective investee companies in the Technology Growth EIS and Innovation SEIS funds. Prior to joining Deepbridge, George gained experience working as an investment researcher for the AgriTech sector at Toscafund and a researcher in Parliament. Having recently graduated with a BSc in Economics with Mathematics and passed the CFA Levels 1 and 2, he is currently working towards the final CFA designation.

Joy, who joins the Deepbridge accounts team as a Company Accountant, has an extremely knowledgeable and experienced accounting professional who has worked in practice and business sectors for a number of years. She is used to working in a heavily regulated environment, having worked for a top 100 accountancy firm, undertaking a broad accountant role that included Limited Companies, Charities, Sole traders and Partnerships.

Heather joins Deepbridge as our Investment Co-ordinator. Prior to joining Deepbridge, Heather has worked extensively within a corporate risk and regulatory environment within Financial Services, most notably at MBNA/Bank of America. She has a strong administrative and compliance/governance background and will be a valuable addition to the Life Sciences Team. Heather will also be working with prospective and existing life sciences investee companies, as part of the Deepbridge Life Sciences EIS and SEIS propositions.

Natalia has joined Deepbridge to support the Administration department. She is originally from Brazil having moved to Chester in 2018.

Jim joins Deepbridge as a Supervisory Investment Committee Member – Life Sciences. Jim is an experienced Business Leader within a proven track record of delivery of significant business growth, expansion and business consolidate in both large and start-up businesses. Jim is CEO & founder of Firestar Science and Technology, a product development advisory business in the healthcare sector.  Further to graduating with a BSc in Biochemistry, Jim’s considerable previous experience includes healthcare roles with organisations such as Siemens and Microvisk.

Peter also joins Deepbridge as a Supervisory Investment Committee Member – Life Sciences. Peter has over 30 years international senior executive experience in the biotechnology, ethical pharmaceutical, medical devices, FMCG healthcare and B2B industries. Peter founded his Consultancy in 2004 with focus on M&A activity, in/out licensing, strategic alliances and divestments. Experience previously gained as Head of Business Development and Licensing at Pfizer, Pharmacia, Novartis and Nutricia. Peter also raised investment funding and founded in 2008 a generic pharmaceuticals and medical devices import/export joint venture with a local sponsor in the Gulf States.
