Ocutec, which is part of the Deepbridge Technology Growth EIS portfolio, has recently secured £1.5 million in a seed funding round that was led by Deepbridge Capital.
The funding round, which includes provision of £1 million of funding via the Deepbridge Technology Growth EIS fund, £360,000 from Intuitive Investments Group (IIG) and a £100,000 SMART grant to support the company's development projects. The funding is to be used for recruitment, new equipment and further product development.
Ocutec Ltd. is a Scotland-headquartered company, specialising in the development and commercialization of soft contact lenses utilising polyethylene glycol (PEG) polymer chemistry as the basis of its highly biocompatible contact lenses.
