Pacla Medical, which is part of the Deepbridge Life Sciences EIS portfolio, has developed 'BackHug', which is a physiotherapy massage device that uses "robo-finger" technology.
Chongsu Lee, founder and CEO of Pacla Medical, developed BackHug to treat patients with chronic illnesses. It will be installed into private cubicles, where staff can book and pay to use the device using a mobile app.
BackHug has already been installed in Aberdeen Standard Investments in Edinburgh and a further 15 UK installations are planned for the end of this year.
