Snooker Player Louise Burton Ranks 33rd In The World

Deepbridge  is delighted to continue our support of Louise  Burton, Administration Executive at Deepbridge, who is currently ranked 33rd in the world by World Women's Snooker, up from her previous ranking of 39th.

Louise has competed on the World Women’s Snooker Tour since 2018, most notably reaching the last 16 of her debut event at the Eden Masters.

Louise  Burton, commented:

"Returning to the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds for the start of a new snooker season. I was pleased to get a strong start in the group stages, winning my opening match with a tense black ball game. Having also won my second match, this meant I was through the group stages. My final group match was against the world number four who is a fantastic opponent and took the win. Finishing second in the group meant that I had a preliminary match before the last 16, I drew another tough opponent and did not make it through.

Overall, I was very pleased with my performance, which demonstrated that the hard work and practice is starting to pay off. My new ranking of World number 33 in encouraging and I hope to break into the top 30 by the end of this season.  With this great experience it has motivated me to work harder and be able to compete with the best in the World.

The Women’s Snooker tour is growing and with more sponsors such as Deepbridge helping players to be able to compete this is a real positive. The tournaments are also attracting sponsorship, increasing the prizes and exposure of the sport, hopefully this will lead to more players and opportunities in the near future."
