Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge 2025

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

Deepbridge Takes on the Climb for Clatterbridge On 19th May 2025, a team of 10 of our colleagues tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks – and absolutely smashed it! With clear skies and sunshine, the group took on the 24-mile (38km) challenge, scaling Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, and climbing over 5,200ft in total. It’s fair to say this was one of the toughest Deepbridge Challenges yet… but our team didn’t just endure it – they conquered it.

The challenge was all in support of a very worthy cause close to our hearts, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. There are more than 100,000 people living with cancer in Merseyside and Cheshire. The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre provides specialist treatment for many of them through its unique network of care across the region.

Clatterbridge Cancer Charity is dedicated to supporting the patients and research at the hospital, funding key enhancements to care and pioneering treatment that make a real difference to the lives of patients and their families. The charity helps improve the already excellent care delivered at its centres, supporting everything from cutting-edge innovations to those vital personal touches that make a hospital feel more human.

For many of us at Deepbridge, the work Clatterbridge does is personal – whether through family, friends, or our own experiences, cancer has touched the lives of people across our team. Taking on this challenge was our way of showing support and giving back to an organisation that means so much to so many.

Thanks to the generosity of colleagues, friends and supporters, we’ve raised an incredible £2,352 so far – and counting. Every penny goes towards helping Clatterbridge continue its life-changing work. If you’d like to support this amazing cause, donations can still be made via our JustGiving page:  https://www.justgiving.com/page/deepbridge-challenge-2025#sharePage

The team on the day included Andrew Aldridge, Andrew Hughes, Henry Hughes, Gareth Groome, Lisa Groome, Louise Burton, Matt Burns, Paul Seager, Phillip Secrette, and Tony Lyons – a fantastic group who gave it their all every step of the way.
