Zilico, which is part of the Deepbridge Technology Growth EIS and Deepbridge Life Sciences EIS portfolios, has announced a new collaboration with The University of Sheffield and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to develop a pain-free device to detect oral cancer.
They have been awarded £1 million in funding for this collaboration, with the aim to progress the project to a full clinical trial in the next 12 months.
This device will use the same patented technology as Zilico's ZedScan device, which is used across the NHS for the early and non-invasive diagnosis of cervical cancer.
